Time out at Limehouse Basin (cruise retrospective)

The Basin and its environs are very photogenic. The Thames was awesome. No place for a narrowboat, to be sure! It was a lovely evening and night, and the sky and the lights and the water worked together to show everything up to their very best effect.

The Thames is just the other side of a lock.

When we could tear ourselves away from these views,we wandered around the immediate area a little, too.
This is the start of the Limehouse Cut we'll be going up tomorrow.
"The one they missed" - the only home in a terrace left standing after WW2 bombing.

And then at night... Wow! The Basin was magical.

We're so glad we had to make this diversion!
