Sunday and Monday - back to Trent Lock

We awoke to a very quiet Sunday morning. Emma B had left, there was little traffic on the road opposite, and few people using the towing path. So we set off back to Trent Lock, arriving in time for lunch.

It was Fathers' Day, and greetings arrived by text and email from the three kids. Naomi, the gardener, sent a superb photo of our garden, presented as a card. We were encouraged to see the garden looking so good.

Monday morning was dull and a little chilly. We were here for the day, so we spent our time cleaning the boat a little, reading and playing games. We were passed by few people and even fewer boats. Grace took a walk down to Sawley Cut, to reconnoiter in preparation for our visit tomorrow. It would have been nice to have lunch in the lockside cafe, but it's closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.
